"Cooking without fire"

Cooking is not a rocket science, all you need is love. Learners of Class II took a giant leap and tried their hands on cooking on 28.09.2016 (Wednesday) in an especially carved activity “Cooking without Fire” for them. They played with many interesting ingredients like fresh veggies, fruits, chocolates, bread, sprouts, dry fruits, coconuts, corns etc. They prepared lip-smacking dishes which were an instant hit with the judges, who appreciated the efforts of all the little chefs whole heartedly.

A visit to Superstore

"Practical knowledge is the best knowledge"

To widen the horizon of the  students on the importance of helpers in our community, a visit to Superstore was organized for the students of Pre Primary on 27.09.16 (Tuesday). Students gained first hand information of how to purchase things themselves. They were introduced to various helpers like Cashier, Sales person, Guard and the Owner. The visit also made them independent as they learnt to take care of their own money and to collect the bill from the cashier.

Clothes Activity

''Fashion fades but style is eternal."

It's not important what you wear, it's the spirit inside that matters. To impress upon the importance of style, an activity on clothes was organized for the students of class I on 26 September 2016 (Monday). Students came dressed up in different costumes and uniforms for the same. The activity helped them to coin their bag with more knowledge about clothes worn by different people in different seasons. The uniform of pilot, soldier, doctor etc. and the costumes of various states made them proud. It was a day of fun learning for them.

Helpers' Day

'Gratitude must be our attitude'

Helpers' Day was observed on 23.09.16 (Friday) by the students of Pre School. The day highlighted the ceaseless efforts of people who facilitate the functioning of society through their undying contribution. Children simulated various roles played by them and came decked in their respective helpers' role. They impressed one and all present there with their effortless depiction which was based on their day to day observation. The activity taught them to be grateful to all these community helpers and to acknowledge their efforts too.

Declamation Competition

'Politeness is the flower of humanity'

Politeness is a skill that can be mastered with practice. The learners of class III experienced the same through a Declamation Competition on 20.09.16 (Tuesday). The little orators expressed their views on the topic 'Politeness: a door to everyone's heart' with great confidence. Words like, sorry, thank you, please, excuse me etc. work wonders. The activity imparted a lesson for life. Students learnt that politeness is a great virtue which creates a feel good environment and is a tool to become winner in all spheres of life.

English Recitation Competition

"Poetry is the core of literature"

To spread the fragrance of poetry among the children, an English Recitation Competition was held on 19.09.16 (Monday)  for the students of class I. The participants came dressed up in beautiful costumes and with eye catching props depicting the theme of their poem which was 'Health and Hygiene'. The poems reflected the importance of sanitation in day to day life . They presented their poems with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The various methods to improve one's health were covered in the poems presented. The judges appreciated and applauded the performances of the participants. The competition was enjoyed by one and all.

Visit to Fire Station

It is really very difficult to imagine our lives without Community Helpers. Whether its a school or home we cannot move a step forward without them. To widen the horizon of the knowledge of our little Modernite's about Helpers, a visit to Fire Station was organized on 15.09.16 (Thursday) for the students of Pre School which certainly left an everlasting impact on the mind of the enthusiastic learners.

Hindi Diwas

"Unity is strength but mother tongue is the pride of a nation."

Hindi Diwas is celebrated annually on 14th September all over India to give importance to Hindi language. It is celebrated to promote and spread the importance of our national language amongst the people. To propagate the Hindi language various activities like Shlok/Doha Vachan, Kahani Vachan and kahani Buno were organized for classes Pre School to class V on 14 September 2016 (Wednesday). Through this activity learners imbibed in them the importance of their mother tongue, Hindi. The learners participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed a lot.

Pick and Speak

The way we communicate with others and with ourselves,
ultimately determines the quality of our lives.’

In this fast changing and emerging world, the quality of speaking effectively in front of an audience, is one of the most essential skills, a person must possess. To enable our learners to attain the same, a Pick and Speakactivity was conducted on 12.09.16 (Monday) for the students of classes II to V, wherein, they picked up an object of their choice and spoke about it in general. The activity tested their presence of mind and communication skills and also assisted them in becoming confident orators.

'Joy of Sharing' activity was organized for the students of Pre Primary on 09.09.16 (Friday).  With a loving heart and a smile, children donated their toys to the needy kids. Through this activity, they learnt the value of sharing and caring.

'Clay on wheel'


Being creative is not a hobby,

It's a way of life.
To promote this idea a 'Clay on Wheel' Workshop was conducted by the Times of India for the students of class III on 6 September 2016,i.e. Tuesday. The resource person crafted various beautiful objects with ceramic clay such as a hut, frog, parrot etc. The activity gave a first hand experience of this ancient art to the students and enhanced their creative skills. It was a visual treat for the audience and was yet another way to drift the young learners close to nature.
