Trip to Rail Museum(Class I)

An Excursion – “Learning with Fun”

A trip to Rail Museum was organised for the students of class I on 28.02.15 (Saturday). It was indeed
kudos to the technology and the level of understanding. The students enjoyed a fascinating and
exotic collection of over one hundred real size exhibits of Indian Railways. They were thrilled to see
the star attraction “Fairy Queen” built in 1855 which is certified as one of the best and oldest
working steam locomotive engine. Overall it was indelible day for them.

Fancy Dress Competition(Pre Primary)

The most famous people of India are known and celebrated for all different things. Some are famous for their skills and talents while others are for their courage. But one thing all these people have in common, is their ability to inspire  others.
To seek inspiration from all such famous personalities, a Fancy Dress Competition was organised for the students of Pre Primary on 27.02.15(Friday) on the theme Jewels of India. Students showcaces their talent portraying various personalities like Lata Mangeshkar, Mary Kom, Mr. Arvind Kejariwal etc. Their confidence was applauded by one and all present there.

Quality Circle Presentation

“Festivals are the moments of celebration and togetherness”

Taking this idea forward in order to improve the quality of festivities carried around the

globe, a Quality Circle Presentation was organised for the students of class III on 27.02.15

(Friday) on the topic ‘Festivals’. A few major national and international festivals were

discussed in detail with the help of a power point presentation. Students enjoyed a lot

learning about colourful celebrations. They also came to know about some bad practices

associated with these festivals and received some guidelines on the same. The dance on

Diwali and the carol on Christmas were the show stealer.

This presentation would certainly change the perception of the students on celebrating

festivals and their impact on the changing environment.

Dance Competition (Pre School)

Group dance is one of the best ways to teach students team spirit. The students of Pre School

experienced the same is an Inter class Group Dance Activity organised for them on 25.02.15

(Wednesday). Tapping their feet on different beats, students amazed the audience with their

cute expressions. Their moves and coordination was applauded by the judges.

Art and culture activity

'Creativity is thinking out of the box'
Students of class Pre-Primary flared their wings of creativity during an Art and Culture activity which was conducted for them on 12.02.15 (Thursday). They rolled their imagination and played with the material like plastic bottles, sticks, thermocol glasses, CD, bangles etc. and made wind chimes, decorative items and pencil stands. All students were appreciated for their efforts.

English Declamation Competition



Declamation-  an expression of ideas!!!
In order to polish the oratory skills of the students, an English Declamation Competition was organized for class III on 6 February 2015 ( Friday). The participants confidently delivered their views on the topics- ‘Breakfast-the most important meal of the day’, ‘Eyes – the most precious gift of God’ and ‘Cleanliness is next to godliness ’.  They put their thoughts forward through a masterfully crafted language and made the audience realize the importance of breakfast, eyes and cleanliness all together. Their  approachable and thought provoking ideas were appreciated by one and all present.

Clay Art Competition

"Creativity has no shape but it can shape your mind and can give a meaning to your thoughts."

Learning with fun is the best method for teaching Pre-school students. This idea was worked upon through a Clay Art Competition held on 05:02:15 (Thursday) for the tiny tots, They made sun, snake, flower, caterpillar etc using colorful clay dough. This activity developed their fine motor skills and gave wings to their imagination.

Solo Dance Competition

" Dance is a delicate balance between perfection and beauty."

Students of class I proved this rightly in the Solo Dance Competition which was organized on 05:02:15 (Thursday). The elegance, the poise with which all the participants performed mesmerised one and all. The decor radiated folk and ethnic flavour. The judges and audience applauded and encouraged all the participants. Overall it was a visual treat.

A quiz competition was organized for the students of Class II on varied arenas on 3 February 2015 (Tuesday). It was a brief assessment to measure the growth of knowledge and abilities of the students. They had a great time in doing various fun activities in it. It also captured the spirit of competition with the element of fun.

Sports Week

There goes  a proverb  - " A work and no play makes jack a dull boy"

No body can deny the importance of games and sports in a student's life. For his holiistic development they are indispensable.  As sports make students mentally alert and physical strong, a week long sports activities were organized for the students of the Nursery Department. Along with few usual races like 50 m sprint, 100 m sprint, few funny races were also organized for the students of Pre Primary, Pre school and class one had races like "Gulabjamun" race, "Laddoo" race etc.

Students of class II and III had duck race, frog race, skipping race etc. Winners were awarded with medals and certificates for their best efforts. They enjoyed every moment of these funfilled activities. This week certainly had fastened competitive spirit and sportsmanship which inturns  had made them more disciplined.
