Visit to Gurudwara

To celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji the great thinker and social reformer, the little ones of Pre school and Pre primary visited Gurudwara Nanak Piao on 30.10.14 (Thursday) and 31.10.14 (Friday) respectively. Covering their heads and folding their hands,they sought the blessings of the Almighty.They enjoyed the 'kadhaa prasad' also. It was a spiritual and memorable trip for them.

Animal Day

Our earth is a fascinating place and is an abode of many different species of animals. To enhance the general knowledge of our little ones and to fasten the moral progress of our nation, Animal Day was celebrated on 28.10.14 (Tuesday) by the students of Pre School. Students displayed love and affection towards animals by making eye masks of a rabbit and face mask of a lion. they learnt the names of animal babies, animal sounds and their habitats also. The day was spent wonderfully, learning about the beautiful creation of God- animals.

Diwali Celebration

Diwali is not simply about lighting Diyas and relishing good food, it is also about enlightenment of soul and over coming the darkness of ignorance and stepping into a cleaner and brighter world. To celebrate the forthcoming festivals the students of Pre school decorated diyas and candles beautifully. Pre Primary students decorated muffins and relished them with their pals and the students of class I displayed their creativity by decorating Toran. The activity certainly lit up the atmosphere with happiness and love.

Candle Making Activity

Candle making activity was conducted for the students of class- III on 16:10:14 (Thursday) to celebrate the forthcoming festival of Diwali. The students adorned the candles beautifully using Gota, colored tapes, studs and ribbons. The activity encouraged the students to celebrate a peaceful Diwali. the activity was thoroughly enjoyed by the tiny tots.

Global Hand Wash Day

Global Hand Wash Day was observed by classes Pre School to class III to make children aware of health and regular hygiene. They were told the right way and need to wash their hands . They also took a pledge stating that they will wash their hands before and after every meal and after the use of wash room. They were encouraged to discuss the same with their family members, neighbors and play mates also.

Paper - Toran Making Activity

With the onset of the festive season, the Modernites received the opportunity to recall our tradition and culture of decorating our houses. To keep this tradition  alive the students of class  II participated in a Paper- Toran Making Activity on 14:10:14 (Tuesday). They made beautiful Torans using Pastel sheets cut in different shapes  and adorned them with mirrors and studs. Students also portrayed their creativity using waste material.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations (P s -III )

Gandhi Jayanti, birthday of the great leader who gave the world the invincible weapons of Truth, Non-violence and comparison. Thus the Mahatma's birthday was celebrated in Nursery wing on 1st October 2014 with a range of activities. The essence of Gandhi Jayanti celebration transcends far beyond commemorating Mahatma Gandhi's birth and his life. The Pre School section colored the "Three Monkeys of Gandhiji" and learnt the importance of "Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil." Pre  Primary section students made charkha in a very innovative manner using bangles and thread. class 1st students pasted the picture of the great leader in their note book and wrote lines on him. All these activities proved to be great way of making our tiny tots aware of  Gandhiji's principles and his contribution to India's freedom struggle. The young Modernites of class II and III enthusiastically participated in Swatch Bharat Abhiyan on 02.10.14 by cleaning the school premises. They also pledged to keep their motherland neat and clean always.

Dussehera Celebration

In a multicultural society, we need to instill and enforce the  values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace and comparison. A celebration is an effort to sensitize students towards living in harmony in  adverse society. Dussehera was celebrated by the students of Nursery Department on 01.10.14. (i.e Wednesday) with zest, zeal and enthusiasm. Pre School to class III depicted scenes from the Ramayana like Ravana Vadh, Sita abduction, Ram Setu bridge etc. Their costumes and props added vibrancy and fervor to the whole atmosphere. Besides this depiction of special activities like Mask Making. Gadda Decoration and Crown Making conducted for the students of Pre School to class I pulled up the spirits of the students. Dussehera mark the victory of Good over evil inspires us to kill our inner devil!
