A visit to ‘Traffic Training Park’

"Excursion-A refreshing change for all"

The students of class III experienced a delightful change from their regular routine as they went for an excursion to ‘Traffic Training Park’ Roshanara Bagh, on 14 December 2013 (Saturday). They learnt a lot about traffic rules and road safety. The day was a perfect blend of learning and fun for them. They also sat together, had lunch and enjoyed with their teachers and friends. Overall, it was a wonderful day for all.

Sports Week

"Sports rejuvenate mind, body and soul"

Sports week was organized from 03.12.13 (Tuesday) to 10.12.13 (Tuesday) for the students of classes  Pre school to III. Creative and innovative races like Hoopla Race, Jalebi Race, Yogurt Race etc. were organised. Hurdle Races like Bride and Bridegroom race, funny pair, Carton race etc. gave them challenges which they loved. Beautiful and attractive attires complimented their races.
The week concluded with a reinforcement of the fact that participation is a thing to boost and a child’s confidence and enthusiasm is his winning toast.

Best out of waste - "Be creative"

"Imagination can take you anywhere

To empower this imagination in the tiny tots ‘Best out of waste’ activity was organized for the  students of Pre School and Pre Primary on 29.11.13 (Friday). All the students used old plastic bottles, foil roll, shoe box to make piggy bank, pen holder, jewellery box, photo frame etc. This activity certainly solved its purpose of making students understand the need of recycling waste material in the best possible manner. This activity also helped in building up confidence and channelizing their creative energy.

Flower Day


Pretty lovely flowers all are here
Smell so good and spread the fragrance everywhere.
 
Beauty and fragrance of flowers blossomed everywhere as “Flowers Day” was organized for the students of Pre School on 26.11.13 (Tuesday). It was a wonderful sight. All the students came dressed as different flowers and were adorned with flower accessories too. Students also made beautiful flowers with pulses and tea leaves in a special  craft activity held for them. They all enjoyed describing their attire and reciting different rhymes on  flowers.

To make students aware about the vital role played by nature in our day - to - day life , a poem recitation competition was organized for the students of class I on 20.11.13 (Wednesday) . Students, with their beautiful costumes and props, recited poems confidently on the topic “Glorifying Nature”. Every poem carried a message to conserve nature.

On the occasion of Children`s Day, a colouring competition was held for the classes Pre School to class III on 14.11.13 (Thursday). All the students enjoyed the activity thoroughly. They used bright and vibrant colours to showcase their artistic skills. A round of applause and cheer brought a smile on the faces of the children.

Animals Day

To enhance the general knowledge and awareness of our little ones we take up various topics which relate to every day life. One such topic was animal kingdom. To make the process of learning interesting and fun filled an animal parade was organised wherein  Pre school children came dressed up as Domestic animals, Water animals, Pet animals etc. on 12.11.13 (Tuesday). All children played their part to the hit–walking, talking, like the animals they portrayed. It was a fun filled and educational activity, that was enjoyed by all.

A visit to Gurudwara

A Holy Visit

To invoke religious feelings among students. A visit to Gurudwara was organised on 7.11.13 for Pre school and 8.11.13  for Pre primary students. They learnt the importance of faith and sanctity. They imbibed in them the feeling of EK ONKAR i.e. God is one. Students learned disciplined and the decorum to be maintained in Gurudwara. They came out elated with a pious feeling of love and togetherness. Kadha Prasad added a sweetness in their visit.

Diya Decoration

Diwali, the brightest festival of all, brings great joy and happiness with it. Bright lights and diyas are everywhere to see.

On the auspicious occasion of  Diwali, the students of Pre School, Pre Primary and class I painted diyas beautifully. They also decorated them with glitter, kundan and  mirrors. All the students participated in the activity with great zeal and enthusiasm and lit up their small world with happiness.

Show and Tell

"Awareness - a boon to mankind"
 
To make the students aware about the issues like degradation of environment, depletion of resources, child labour, health and fitness etc. ‘Show and tell competition' was held for class II on 29 October 2013 (Tuesday). The participants not only presented their views on the above topics well but also depicted them with the help of props and costumes. It was an eye-opener for the young minds as the facts presented by the participants hit their senses hard. Thus, this competition acted as a knowledge booster for the students.

Tree Plantation

Trees are our Geography let's not  make them history

Plants are the backbone of life on Earth. Unfortunately their communities around the world is under serious threat. Scientists have estimated that more than 100000 plants species are at the verge of extinction. To impart education about the importance of plants and the need for their conservation a tree plantation and watering activity was held for the students of Pre School, Pre Primary, and Class I on 08.10.13 (Tuesday). Tiny tots of these classes planted saplings of seasonal flowers and understood the importance of growth. This little effort by the  students surely gave them a sense of great achievements of adoring their mother nature.

Collage Making Activity

Thus to mark the important day of 2nd Oct, children of Pre School, Pre Primary and class I had their hands on making a collage depicting various scenes on Gandhiji's life. life history of Gandhiji was discussed with the students. Children learnt to display their collage aesthetically and in a play way manner they learnt the teachings of Gandhiji.

As said by Mahatma Gandhi
 " There is no distinction in work and play in basic education".
 
Hence students learnt about his life and sub contribution towards the nation in and interesting manner which they'll never forget throughout their lives.

English Recitation Competition

"Poetry enlivens the imagination into reality"
To encourage the appreciation of poetic beauty among the tiny tots an English Poem recitation competition was organized on 30.09.13 (Monday) for the students of Pre Primary. Children recited good poems with good moral. Their beautiful attire complimented their rhymes. The Nursery Incharge Mrs Roma Jacob appreciated the participants and encouraged more students to come forward. Children presented themselves with grace on mike.

English Declamation Competition

'Good health is a must for a good life'


The students of class III realized the importance of eating healthy breakfast and maintaining sound health through an English Declamation Competition on the topics - 'Health is Wealth' and 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day' held on 19.09.13(Thursday). The participants very confidently spoke on the given topics and made everyone realize the disadvantages of skipping breakfast. The competition was an eye opener for all present as the facts presented by the contestants hit their senses hard. overall it proved to be a very informative and enriching session.

Snacky Delight Activity

"Marie Biscuits Snacks are yummy
prepared by tiny tots to help their Mummy"


 
Students of Pre-primary had their hands on in preparing a delicious snack with a simple Marie Biscuit. This Snacky Delight Activity held on 18.09.13 not only instilled confidence among students that they can prepare something good and easy but also en thrilled them. They were told the steps to prepare it which also enhance their speaking and listening skills. Such activities give a new direction to the thought of the students they are also capable of doing wonders.

Hindi Declamation

"Prakritik Saundarya - Humara Saubhagya"

India is well known for its natural beauty and is a splendid place for nature lovers to visit. But, due to  the increasing greed of we human beings, the natural beauty that is bestowed to us by God is depleting day by day. So, Hindi Declamation Competition on the topic, 'Prakritik Saundarya Aur Hum' was organised for the students of Class II on 17 September 2013 (Tuesday), to make them aware of the beauty of the nature and its need for our survival. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and presented their views on the topic. It also made them understand how fortunate we are to have this beautiful nature and our duty to preserve it.

Picnic

Learning Beyond the walls

Excursion is a way to impart knowledge among students and to make them acquainted with their surroundings. Learning can take place in a better way, practically rather than theoretically. keeping all these points in mind picnic to children's park was organized  on 14.09.13 (Saturday) for class I .Students learned to share their food with their friends and enjoyed the rides. All enjoyed a lot accompanying their friends. It was a wonderful day out for the students.

Hindi Hasya Kavita Path Pratiyogita

Laughing is the best medicine and to make modernite cheerful and in fine fittle, a Hasya kavita Path pratiyogita was organized for the students of class I on 12.09.13 (Thursday). The participants were able to tickle the audiences & judges bones with their poems like 'Sheru', 'Kya Banau', 'Zarurat', 'Shiv ka Dhanush' etc. They recited their poems enthusiastically with matching props and attire. Their efforts were hugely appreciated by one and all. The judges of the competition had a tough time in judging the neck to neck performance of the participants.

Kahani Vachan Pratiyogita

Words and expressions woven together give us a wonderful story. A child can easily learn through the medium of a story. In order to inculcate and understand the good moral values which help in making them good individuals, A kahani vachan pratiyogita was held on 11.09.13(Wednesday)for the students of Pre primary. They participated with great enthusiasm used their props with utmost efficacy. Through their stories they gave significant messages such as truthfulness, hard work, helping the needy etc. in an interesting manner which would be a stepping stone in their character building.

Hindi Rhyme Competition


India is a country of colourful festivals. A Hindi Rhyme competition was organized on 10.09.13 (Tuesday) for the students of class Pre- School for celebrating the same on topic festivals. Children participated with great zeal. They came well dressed according to their rhyme theme e.g. Diwali, Holi, Dussehra, Rakshabandhan. The response to the rhyme competition was good and it was great to see toddlers performing so well on the theme allocated.

Through this activity students came to know the importance of festivals celebrated in our country they were judged on the basis of their costume, presentation & confidence.

Helpers day

We human beings are social animals, for the smooth functioning of our life we need to help each others. To respect and to give due honour to our day to-day life helpers, 'Helpers Day' was celebrated on 09.09.13(Monday) by the students of Pre School. All the little ones came dressed up as various helpers like doctor, nurse, electrician, plumber, air hostess etc. This activity not only made them aware of various helpers but also the help they provide. Overall it was a great fun with learning.

An educational trip to Rail Museum was organised for the students of class II on 07.09.13 Saturday. It gave them a break from their monotonous study schedule. The trip was both informative and entertaining for the students. All enjoyed a lot accompanying their friends at the museum. There they were acquainted with various facts about Railways. Also It was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about the history of Indian Railways. Such trips organised for the students always widen their knowledge beyond their books.

'Govinda Aala Re'

This divinity and humanity was celebrated by students of Pre-School and Pre-Primary on the occasion of janmashtami on 27.08.13 i.e. Tuesday.
Students enjoyed dancing  and singing on Iskcon  music, decorating flutes, wearing Krishna's mukut and face mask, which made Janmashtami more colourful and vibrant.

Visit to Daily Delite

Students of pre school visited Daily Delite (Super market) on 26/08/2013 (Monday) to enhance their knowledge about wide variety of food, household  products, kitchenware, canned and packaged goods under a single roof .All enjoyed accompanying their friends at the super market .They were all amazed to see the interior which was different from the other grocery shop. It was a wonderful experience and of course an enlightening one for these toddlers.

3D Flower Making Workshop

A Workshop on 3D Flower making was organized by HT for the students of class III on 23 August 2013[Friday] wherein the students used waste old CD'S and ice-cream sticks to make a 3D flower. They painted the CD's in vibrant colours and decorated them beautifully with a 3D outliner. It was a refreshing break from the monotonous study schedule.

Fruit Day

Fruits: Ambassadors of good health

"An apple a day, keeps the doctor away" keeping this in view toddlers of preschool celebrated 'Fruit Day' on 22/08/13(Thursday) Students came dressed up as fruits. They also spoke about the importance of fruits in our daily life. Fruit chaat was also prepared by the teachers in their classes. They not only relished yummy fruit chaat but also learnt about the fruits with one seed, fruits with many seeds and fruits which are seedless. Overall it was a learning with fun activity.

Rakshabandhan

Rakshabandhan - a festival of love and care

On the special occasion of Rakshabandhan festival a card making activity for class III and Rakhi making activity for class I and II was conducted, wherein the students made attractive cards and Rakhis for their brothers and sisters. They displayed their immense love and affection towards their siblings . Students also wrote quotations and message for their siblings. The activity showcased their creativity and emotions to the fullest. The activities were enjoyed by all.
 
For the toddlers of Pre School and Pre Primary Rakhi tying activity was also conducted. It made them understand the relevance of the festival.

To inculcate moral values in students, donation of old toys to the underprivileged was organized on 16.08.2013 (Friday) for the students of Pre School to class I on the occasion of International Friendship Day. Students brought their toys and donated for the cause.It was very challenging for the little kids to donate their toys.

Independence Day

To bring the feeling of pride and nationalism , the school organized various class and stage activities for the students of Pre School to Class III on 13-08-13 (Tuesday).
Toddlers from Pre School came dressed up as famous freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Subhash Chandra Bose etc. Students of Pre Primary represented National Symbols like National Flower, National Animal, National Flag etc. Students of classes I to III presented a skit on Ekta Ka Mahatva on the stage. The objective of these activities was to create awareness about the freedom fighters and inculcate the feelings of patriotism amongst the children. The students pledged to respect their elders and their country on this occasion.

Bonjour Monsoon



While the pitter patter raindrops of monsoon slowly knocked our heads and the cool breeze blew, the students of Pre Primary celebrated Monsoon Day on 31-07-13 (Wednesday). They enjoyed a lot by soaking themselves into the creative ideas of making this rainy season even more beautiful. Monsoon pictures and umbrellas were decorated by colouring, painting, bindi pasting and paper tearing. Monsoon rhymes were recited along with the teachers. They welcomed monsoon season joyfully.

Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was organized on 23-07-2013 (Tuesday) for the students of Pre Primary on the theme Nature. Students participated with great enthusiasm. The props and their vibrant dresses added colour to their recitation. Even shy students came out with big surprises.
