Visit to Salaam Baalak Trust


Sharing is the best way to show that you care. This was beautifully showcased in the month of August. Wherein sharing gave way to a very pious feeling of donation. Children of class I donated soap to needy and poor children of Salaam Baalak trust, Tis Hazari New Delhi. Children could empthatize with the feelings of these children and realised that doing little things for others can actually make a difference.

Sharing is caring



On 27 th August 2012, Pre Primary students of MPS visited Samvedna Institute for Special Children, Shalimar Bagh, aiming to keep the students experience the feelings of sharing and giving. They shared biscuits with the students of Samvedna Institute for Special Children. Photographs as remembrance were clicked. Due appreciation and thanks were given to the owner of Samvedna, Ms. Kusum Bhutani for the whole hearted co-operation and support.

Joy Of Giving


Students of Pre School went to Delhi Council of Child Welfare, Sultanpuri and donated their toys to the needy children and thereby understood the principles of sharing, caring and contributing in others happiness. The noble cause was done so easily and wonderfully that everyone felt delighted.

                 

International Friendship Day


Friendship makes prosperity more
shining and lessens adversity by
dividing and sharing.
In order to make the students understand the meaning of friendship, International Friendship Day was celebrated by the students of Pre Primary on 24-08-12 Friday. The children marched a rally within the school premises by carrying beautiful, colourful and meaningful placards on which slogans related to friendship were written. The message of slogans was given vocally also. Through this activity, they learnt the value of friendship which in simple words means sharing, caring and concern for each other.

Fruits and Vegetable Day


 " La Frutta Ela Verdura " Fruits and Vegetable Day was celebrated by the Pre School students on 17.08.12 Friday with great zeal. Students came dressed as different fruits and vegetables and spoke about the goodness of the same. A little chef from Pre School also served delicious fruit chat and shake to their peer group. Scrumptious dishes prepared with different yummy and healthy fruits and vegetables were shown and benefits of eating the same were explained. Students had an enjoyable time eating and learning about the goodness of fruits and vegetables.

Independence Day Celebration



14th August 2012 was the day when Modern Public School was full of patriotic fervors. The occasion was 65th Independence Day Celebration. The whole school was decorated with Tri colour flags and pictorial presentations of stories of freedom struggle. The Principal Mrs. Alka Kapur hoisted the National flag followed up by exhorting students to work towards building a great, modern India. Class I and II students depicted the importance of freedom for human beings and birds too in the form of a Poem presentation and a skit respectively. The colourful extravaganza was presented in the form of cultural programmes. Students of class III recalled the episodes of freedom struggle and paid glorious tributes to the great leaders of the past in the form of a skit.

Tri Colour Crown

A colourful pageant showcasing Indians cultural diversity, symbolic depictions of the country, joint display of Indians military capabilities by the armed forces are the essential part of Independence Day celebration. Celebrating the same, Pre School students participated in making crown by pasting Tri colour kites depicting their love and affection towards their country.

Flag Decoration Activity


India's Independence Day was celebrated in Modern Public School with loads of enthusiasm and activities on 14th August 2012 in the school premises. Group discussions were held and Flag decoration with paper tearing was organized for the students of Pre Primary.  Students enjoyed the activity and understood the significance of colours of National Flag.

Bajubandh Making Activity


Hare Rama Hare Krishna, the echo of these words can be heard every where, as very soon we all will be celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. Celebrating  the occasion, the tiny tots of Pre School made Bajubandh on 09.08.12 using peacock feathers, symbolising the lord Krishna. Children enjoyed the activity to their utmost.

Crown Making Activity

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Crown making activity was done by the students of class Pre Primary on 09.08.12. Students displayed their creativity by decorating the crowns very beautifully with mirrors, glitters and peacock feather. They enjoyed a lot and decorated the crown with lot of interest and enthusiasm. The crowns made by the students looked very attractive and enhanced not only the recognizing skills but motor skills too. It was a fun filled activity enjoyed by all students.



Janmashtami Celebration


Festivals add gaiety to the lives of the little ones
The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with full glory and enthusiasm by the Nursery Department on 09.08.12 in the school premises. The auspicious occasion was started by lamp lightning ceremony by respected Principal madam Mrs. Alka Kapur followed by offering prayers. The little but lovely students of Pre school captured the attention of everyone with their foot tapping dance number Thumak Thumak Students also dressed themselves as various characters related to Lord Krishna like Radha, Kansa, Sudama, Nand Baba etc and portrayed various scenes like vasudeva in Karavaas , Giriraj Dharan, Solah Kala sampan and Gokul Gaman exceptionally well. The celebration hereby helped the students keeping the knowledge of the festival Janmashtami and culture of their country intact.

Rakhi Celebration

Raksh Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the bond of love was celebrated by Pre-School and Pre-Primary students in a celebration organized by the Nursery department on 01-08-12 wednesday. The golden thread of rakhi epitomizing the bond of love between brother and sister, was taught and shown by live examples to the students. The Festival was celebrated with joy , fervour and was enjoyed by the students to the fullest.
